About
I can’t tell you my name because I’ve always wanted an air of mystery, and since my life is an open book, this seems to be the only way to accomplish that. Sorry to disappoint, but it’s better this way. I promise.
I started this blog in May 2008 so that I could document my first year in the real world– away from the safety net that is college. This year will bring countless changes, many occurring in the first three months: I’m moving from Florida to Washington, D.C., I’m starting a new job, it’s a temporary position so in 3 months I’ll have to look for a new one, I’ll have my own place for the first time, and I’m embracing singledom wholeheartedly.
Here are some things I like and will probably write about a lot:
- Traveling
- Big Cities
- Judging people, including myself
- Audrey Hepburn
- Drinking
- Being Irish (see above)
- Politics
- Movies, especially chick flicks
- Dating
- Pretending I’m smart
- My friends and family
- Sports
- My iPod
- Cooking
- F. Scott Fitzgerald
- The Food Network
- Watching TV online to procrastinate
- Simon Cowell
- Lists
- These little, swirly bullets. Aren’t they cute?
Things I like… not so much…and will probably only whine about:
- Hypocrites
- Money (especially since I don’t have much)
- Mushrooms… who wants to knowingly eat fungus?
- People who don’t like sauces, especially ketchup (really, are you even human?)
- Liars
- Wearing socks to bed
- When good shows get canceled
This is a living document, and I’m sure it will change with time. Not a bad start, though… right?
